About these terms
Camp Finder ("the app") is made by Will Richter, trading as Gone Lappin' Co., in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Information is a guide only
Camp, rest area, fuel station, accommodation and route information comes from public sources (including OpenStreetMap contributors, Australian government open data, Apple Maps and Google Maps) and from other travellers. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Camps close, rules change, prices go up and roads flood.
Always check signs, local rules, permits, fire bans, road conditions and opening hours yourself before you travel or set up camp. You are responsible for where you camp, how you drive and for following the law, including council camping rules and national park permit requirements.
Costs and fuel estimates
Trip cost, fuel, camp fee and accommodation figures are estimates. They are based on the vehicle details you enter, typical fuel use for your model, live prices from Google Maps where available, and our price guide, which we review regularly. Actual costs will differ. Fuel stop suggestions don't guarantee that a station is open or has fuel; carry enough fuel and water for remote travel.
Directions and safety
Directions are for planning and don't account for towing, road closures, unsealed roads, flooding or vehicle limits. Don't use the app in a way that distracts you while driving. In an emergency call 000.
Your account and what you share
You can use most of the app without an account. If you create one, keep access to your email secure. When you add camps, photos, ratings, reviews or check-ins, you confirm they're honest, based on your own experience, and that you own any photos you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show that content in the app.
Don't post anything unlawful, misleading, offensive, private information about other people, or advertising. We can remove content or close accounts that break these rules. Other travellers can report content, and content with several reports is hidden automatically.
Bookings and other businesses
Links to ferries, permits, caravan parks, motels, hotels and fuel stations take you to other businesses. We don't take bookings or payments and aren't responsible for those businesses, their prices or their services.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and we aren't liable for any loss, damage, fines, injury or costs that come from relying on information in the app.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If we make important changes we'll show a notice in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
